Your business, your ABN

You teach as an independent contractor running your own tutoring business. You’re paid in full — no tax is withheld — and you handle your own income tax and GST. A valid ABN keeps it that way: without a quoted ABN, Australian businesses must withhold 47% of payments.

You set your own rates — the 1:1 platform minimum is $30/hr. You can change any rate at any time.

Group rates (optional, per student)

Group places are priced per student, from $15/hr per student — small groups seat 2–5 students, large groups 6–15, and each student in the group pays your per-student rate. Add a row per format and mode, or skip this and set group rates from your profile later.

One or two lines — your experience and how you teach. We use it to draft your profile, which you edit before it goes live.

What you’ll need on hand

  • Your Working with Children Check — the document, its number and expiry date
  • Photo ID — passport, licence or photo card
  • Your highest qualification — degree, diploma, certificate or accreditation

PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10MB each. Stored securely, visible only to our verification team.

Verified before your first student

Every tutor is verified — identity, WWCC and qualifications — before their profile goes live. One rule we never bend: every lesson with a student under 18 has a parent or guardian present.

What does it cost to join?
Nothing. Joining and listing are free — the platform fee comes out of your advertised rate only when you teach, starting at 20% and falling to 12% as you grow.
Do I need a teaching qualification?
No. We recruit experienced tutors, coaches and trainers in every area. You upload your highest qualification — a degree, diploma, certificate or accreditation — and we verify it.
How long does verification take?
A real person reviews every application, usually within 3 business days. You get a private status link the moment you submit, so you can follow it the whole way from submitted to live.
What do I need to apply?
Three documents: your Working with Children Check (with its number and expiry), photo ID, and your highest qualification — PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 10MB each. That is the whole application.
