Recommended order, never paid placement
“Recommended” blends verifiable signals into a single score. Here are the exact signals and the weight each carries.
Rating
30%The average of reviews from students who have had lessons with the tutor. A new tutor with no reviews is ranked on a neutral rating until reviews arrive.
Sessions completed
25%The number of lessons a tutor has delivered through the platform.
Verification
20%Every listed tutor is fully verified — WWCC, identity and qualifications all checked before a profile goes live.
Donated hours
15%Hours a tutor has taught pro bono for scholarship students — counted once taught, not when pledged.
Recency
10%How recently the tutor has been active, so families reach tutors who can teach this term.
How ratings work
A star rating is the average of reviews from students who have had lessons with the tutor. A tutor with no reviews yet is shown as New, and is ranked on verification and recency until reviews and sessions accrue.
Every listed tutor is fully verified before their profile goes live. Booking and payment happen on the learning platform.
