Tutors keep the fund going by donating teaching hours: pledge an hour a week, and a family pays nothing for that session. Pledges join the scholarship pool the moment they’re confirmed, and the pool covers places as families need them. No earmarking, no waiting for a particular student.

The platform gives alongside you, in kind. Every scholarship place includes free access to the full learning resource library — that part is our donation, matched to yours, every time.

A donated hour is a real session with a verified tutor, taught the same way as any paid one: the same materials, the same slot in the week. The family just isn’t charged for it.

One pool, whole places
Donated hours and the platform’s share join one fund, and a place is only offered once the fund covers all of it. Places open fully covered or not at all.

What one hour a week actually does

A donated hour isn’t an abstraction. It’s a scheduled session in your teaching week: a real student, your own materials, a regular slot. Pledge one hour and a student gets a weekly session their family couldn’t have booked — taught exactly the way you teach everything else.

And every donated hour carries the platform’s share with it. Scholarship students use the full learning resource library at no charge — the platform’s own contribution, in kind, alongside yours. A funded place is a complete one, and the student never has to think about who covered which part.
