A tutoring platform with a scholarship programme
Great tutoring, and a way to fund it for families who can’t.
TutorForAll connects families with vetted independent tutors across every subject and skill. Families who can pay do; donations fund scholarship places for those who can’t. This page explains how that works — and how the platform runs today.
Chapter one
Why we exist
What we're here to do.
We run a place where quality tutoring is easy to find, fairly priced, and open to families across Australia — city, regional or remote. Tutors set their own rates and get paid well; families see exactly what they pay before they book.
And we run it so that cost is not the only thing that decides who gets help. A donation-funded scholarship programme pays for free and subsidised places, so students who could not otherwise afford a tutor still can.
None of that needs a revolution. It needs verified tutors, clear pricing, and a way to route donations to the families who need them. That is the whole idea.
you pay the tutor’s rate — donations cover the ones who can’t
Chapter two
Two tracks, one platform
Lessons families pay for on one side, free places funded by donations on the other.
Private track
Families pay the tutor’s own advertised rate — the price on the profile is the price you pay, with no booking fees added. Tutors set their own rates: one-to-one from A$30 per hour, group places from A$15 per student per hour.
Scholarship track
Eligible students pay nothing. The tutor is still paid their rate — drawn from the donation fund, not the family. Every donated dollar goes to opening these places.
Both tracks run on the same learning platform, use the same vetted tutors, and share the same library of ready-to-run resources. See the pricing and scholarship pages for the detail.
Chapter three
How the platform works
From finding a tutor to the lesson itself.
- Search. Browse tutors by subject, level, mode and price. Every profile shows verified qualifications, rates and availability.
- Book. Book online or face-to-face through the learning platform. For any session with a child, you confirm a guardian will be present.
- Pay. Pay the tutor’s rate securely through Stripe — or, on a scholarship place, pay nothing. You see the price before you confirm.
- Learn. Meet your tutor, use the shared resource library, and track progress. Parents follow along through their own login.
Chapter four
What we stand for
Four commitments that shape every decision on the platform.
- Fair for tutors
- Tutors set their own rates and keep the larger share. Our fee declines the more they teach, and founding tutors get a locked rate plus free premium resources. Good tutors deserve to be paid well.
- Safety before convenience
- No tutor is listed before verification: identity, Working with Children Check, qualifications and an interview. Every session with a child — online or face-to-face — requires a guardian present.
- The whole learner
- Maths matters, and so do music, sport, languages and life skills. We match tutors across academics, creative arts, sport and practical skills — early years to Year 12, university and adult learners.
- Clear pricing
- Every tutor sets one hourly rate, shown on their profile before you book. Directory profiles and platform figures come straight from verified records.
