Focused preparation · Year 3 numeracy
Count equal groups. Know the fact.
Start with skip counting and picture groups of 2, 5 and 10. Work through a full example, try guided steps, then answer 20 original questions with four clear arrays.
This is one number foundation within Year 3 numeracy. It is not a complete NAPLAN programme, tailored test or official score estimate.
A learner needs a saved goal and current learning access to open the lessons and practice.
See the groups before the fact
How the route works
- 1. See it. Check that the groups are equal; use the pictures to count.
- 2. Follow it. Read the full worked steps, then solve with prompts and hints.
- 3. Try it. Work through guided, supported and independent questions.
- 4. Revisit. The self-check gives worked feedback and a link to the lesson when it is available in your plan.
The route in the learning tree
The target skill and its 7 prerequisite lessons form one saved learning route. Skip counting directly supports these questions; other earlier skills stay available for review.
