The learning platform

  • Where do lessons happen?

Lessons and practice happen on the learning platform. Once tutor bookings open, a tutor lesson is online or in person, as booked, and its platform page gives the joining details and any notes your tutor shares.

    Explore the learning tree

  • What technology do we need?

A computer or tablet with an internet connection opens the learning platform. Check each activity’s equipment and input requirements. Online tutor lessons also need suitable audio and video equipment.

    Browse the curriculum

  • What is in the Curriculum?

The Curriculum lists TutorForAll lessons by subject and year. Each collection names its curriculum source, and learners can open the lessons available for their level.

    Browse the curriculum

  • How do I explore the learning tree?

Choose a year and subject, then open a topic to see how its skills connect. The learning tree helps you find a starting point and the skills that follow it. Open a lesson to see what is available now.

  • Does every lesson have learner and professional versions?

Not yet. Matched age-appropriate and professional lesson views are still being built. Check the lesson for the views and printable editions currently available at that level.

    Find a lesson

  • Are NAPLAN, selective-school and scholarship preparation paths available?

Routes cover Year 3 groups, Year 5 fractions, data and chance, Year 7 integers, and Year 6 selective-entry area. Each has 20 questions and needs a saved goal and current learning access. Full NAPLAN, selective and scholarship packages remain unbuilt.

    Browse current lessons

  • How do we log in?

After registration, use the account email to set your password, then select Log in. Your private family or student page is separate from your learning-platform sign-in. Keep its link private.

    Create a free account

  • I already registered. Should I create another account?

No. Sign in with the email you registered. If you cannot get in, use Forgotten password on the learning-platform login page. If you are unsure which email is on the account, contact support instead of creating another record.

    Open account sign-in

  • What if my password link expires?

Use the forgotten-password option on the learning-platform login page and enter your registered email address. Request a new link rather than registering again. If the email does not arrive, check spam and contact support.

    Get account help

  • Does a free account include every lesson?

No. An account lets you record your learning goals, level and study time. Complete lesson access depends on the learner’s subject entitlement. Public lesson previews are available without purchasing.

    Check learning access

  • Does finishing a lesson prove I have mastered the skill?

No. A saved lesson position shows where to continue, not whether the concept is mastered. Where a separate check is available, its result can provide evidence. Use feedback and later practice to revisit gaps.

Families

  • Who registers a learner under 18?

A parent or guardian creates the account and adds the child. Adult self-registration is for people aged 18 or over. Use your own email address for family account messages.

    Register your family

  • What if a Year 12 learner is already 18?

They create their own account through the adult learner option, even while still at school. They can select Year 12 in their learning profile after registering. Do not add an adult as a child on the family form.

    Register as an adult learner

  • Can an under-18 university learner register online?

A learner under 18 who attends university cannot use the current form. Self-registration is for adults; the family form lists only school years. Contact support before registering. Do not choose an inaccurate age or year level.

    Ask about registration

  • Do parents get access?

Yes. Parents and guardians use their own account, linked to each learner. It shows each learner’s place in each lesson and any notes a tutor records.

    Create a free account

  • Can I add more than one child?

Yes. Add each child separately when registering your family. Your private family page lists current learner links and their IDs. Check which learner a subscription covers before purchasing; a family account does not grant every child paid access.

    Family registration

  • How do I correct a learner’s details?

Use Contact to request a correction to a learner’s name, year level or account email. Give the learner ID and describe the change. Do not create another learner record, send identity documents or include a private account link.

    Ask for an account correction

  • Can we learn from regional Australia?

Yes. Nothing on the learning platform depends on where you live.

    Who scholarships are for

  • When do tutor lessons start?

A tutor lesson can be booked once tutor bookings open and an approved tutor has suitable times. The tutor directory shows who can be booked.

Adult learners

  • Can I register for my own learning?

Yes, if you are 18 or over. Choose Adult learner on the registration form and use your own email address. Your student page shows your student ID and any family-link requests for you to accept or decline.

    Register as an adult learner

  • Does registration mean my subject is available?

No. Registering an interest does not create a course or confirm that complete lessons are available. Browse the subject and level you need, and ask about any missing content before choosing paid access.

    Check curriculum coverage

Subscriptions and access

No learning subscription can be bought yet.

  • Can I purchase a learning subscription?

Check Pricing to see whether any plan is available. A listed price does not mean that checkout is open. Creating a free account does not charge you or start a subscription.

    See prices and availability

  • Where are the renewal and cancellation details?

Pricing explains the offered billing periods and links to the Terms. Read the renewal and cancellation details before agreeing to a subscription. Check the learner and subject coverage too.

    Read the cancellation answer

  • What if a payment appears but access is missing?

Do not pay again. Check the account, learner and subject, then contact support with the payment date and receipt reference. Do not send card details, passwords or private account links.

Ask about a payment or access

  • Does returning from checkout mean my subscription is active?

No. Returning from checkout does not confirm payment. On your subscription page, refresh the account and check its status, learner and subject. Lessons open after payment is confirmed. If you were charged but access is missing, contact support.

    Check your subscription account

  • Where can I find invoices or change my payment method?

If your account has a billing profile, open Your learning subscription and select Manage payments and renewal. The secure portal shows invoices and payment options. If that button is missing, ask support how to reach your billing records.

    Open your subscription account

  • What if my payment fails?

Open your subscription account. If it shows Pay outstanding invoice, use that option rather than starting again. If you see a charge or no way to resolve it, contact support with the receipt reference. Never send card details.

    Check your subscription account

  • How do I ask about a refund?

Read the Terms and contact support with the payment date, receipt reference and reason for your request. A request does not itself confirm a refund. Never include full card details.

Tutors and giving

Tutor bookings are not open yet.

  • Where do tutors find teaching material?

Browse the Curriculum for lessons. Once bookings open, an authorised tutor can add suitable class kit activities to a booked lesson. An application alone does not grant access to a learner’s teaching material.

    For tutors

  • Does applying make me ready to teach?

No. Submitting an application does not make you bookable, give you access to learners or enable payouts. Follow the application status instructions and complete any requested checks before teaching through the platform.

    What happens after applying

  • Can a tutor applicant use the Lab?

No. The Lab practicals need an active authorised tutor or teacher account. An application alone does not open the catalogue. Check your application status and use your teaching account once educator access is active.

    Check the application steps

  • How do I check my tutor application?

Open the private status link in your application email. It shows the current stage and any requested information. If the email is missing, contact application support with your application reference. Keep the status link private.

    Application status steps

  • Can I tutor and study?

Yes, if your tutor account is active and you are 18 or over. Use Set up your learner seat on the subscription page. It keeps your tutor login and access. Check Pricing for subscription availability.

    Set up your learner seat

  • Do I need a teaching qualification?

Not for every subject or skill. Give your highest relevant qualification and describe your teaching experience in the application.

    Apply to tutor

  • Who can apply to tutor?

Applicants send their details and documents through the application form. A tutor is listed only once verified.

    Documents to have ready

  • Who pays the Stripe fees?

Stripe processing fees, and any payout fees, come out of the tutor’s share. They are not added to the family’s price. The tutor dashboard shows the booking amount, the fees and the earnings.

    Rates and fees

  • Do I need an ABN?

Yes. Tutors work as independent contractors and quote a valid ABN; the platform’s Terms state the withholding requirements where a valid ABN is not provided.

  • How can I support the program?

The giving page says who can give and how.

    Give teaching hours

Scholarships and giving

  • What scholarships are planned?

The platform plans 1,000 total learning-resource awards for eligible learners in Australia. Tutor-donated lesson awards are separate and include additional free learning resources. Resource-award applications are not open yet.

    Compare the two paths

  • Do donated lessons count toward 1,000?

No. The 1,000-award cap applies only to platform-funded learning-resource awards. Access included with a donated tutor award is additional and does not reduce that pool.

    See what each award provides

  • Are donated lessons free?

The tutor gives their teaching time, the learner pays nothing, and TutorForAll waives its platform fee. No card payment is created for that lesson. Booking opens only when an award and reserved teaching time are available.

    How donated tutoring works

  • Can I apply now?

The donated-tutoring form accepts applications and the scholarship page shows whether a place can currently be offered. Resource-award applications are not open yet.

    See the application and status

  • Can I donate money?

No. Only approved tutors can pledge teaching time at present. We do not accept money gifts for this program, and giving teaching time is not tax-deductible.

Concept Studio, Lab and printing

  • Which Concept Studio demonstrations can I try for free?

Six complete Concept Studio demonstrations in maths and science, Kindergarten to Year 12, are free without signing in. Others need a learning subscription or active site administrator access. Tutor status alone does not grant access. Contact support if access fails.

    Try the six free demonstrations

  • Does a demonstration replace a lesson?

No. A demonstration lets you explore an idea with an on-screen model. Read its explanation, assumptions and controls, then open the linked lesson if you have access. A model may simplify the real world.

    Try the six free demonstrations

  • Does Concept Studio have learner and full teaching views?

Not for every concept yet. Published demonstrations show their year range and controls, but matched age-appropriate learner and full teaching views are still being built. Check a demonstration before using it with a learner or class.

    Try the six free demonstrations

  • How is the Lab different from Concept Studio?

The Lab helps authorised tutors and teachers prepare practical demonstrations with real materials and safety guidance. Students cannot browse it. Concept Studio uses on-screen models: six full demonstrations are free; other demonstrations need a subscription or active site administrator access.

    For tutors

  • How do I print a lesson?

Open the lesson and use Lesson workbook (PDF) where available. Public previews have a Print layout for browser printing or saving as PDF. Downloads follow the lesson’s access rules; complete printable editions are not yet available for every lesson.

    Find a lesson

  • Is there a separate tutor edition for every lesson?

Not yet. Available workbooks may offer a copy with practice answers when review access allows. A complete tutor edition with step-by-step teaching guidance beside every question is still planned. Use only the options shown for the lesson.

    Ask about lesson materials

  • What if a workbook question is unclear?

Open the online lesson to check the question. If the workbook still looks wrong or a visual is missing, report the lesson title, year and question number through Contact. Do not guess or include a child’s private details.

    Report a lesson problem

  • Are my PDF answers saved to the platform?

No. Save the PDF file to keep responses typed into it. Work written or typed on a downloaded workbook is not submitted to the platform automatically. Follow the lesson’s review instructions for any paper work.

Help and privacy

  • What if an account email does not arrive?

Check spam and confirm the address you entered. If registration showed an error, keep the error message and contact support. Avoid repeated registrations, and never share your password or private account link in a support message.

    Contact support

  • What if a lesson will not open?

Confirm the learner account and subject access, then try again. If the lesson still will not open, contact support with its title, subject and error shown. Do not send passwords or private account links.

    Get lesson help

  • How do I report a wrong lesson answer?

Send support the lesson title, year level, question number and the steps you used. Describe what appears wrong. Leave out account links and information that identifies a child.

    Report a lesson problem

  • Does Contact send my support question?

For account, payment or technical help, Contact opens your email app; you still need to send the message there. The general enquiry form saves a message and shows its result on screen. It sends no confirmation email.

    Open Contact

  • How can I ask about my information?

The Privacy policy explains the records collected and how to request access or correction. Use its contact route for account-data questions. Keep private account links, passwords and children’s documents out of public messages.

    Read the Privacy policy

  • Where do I report a safety concern?

Use the reporting route on the Safety page. Account and billing questions can go through Contact. Do not post a learner’s identifying details in a public review or discussion.
